2012 Contract Negotiations Update
USW 13-1 Members Texas City, on Wednesday @ 0800, January 4th 2012 the union representative team for Styrolution employees met with the company, and exchanged our proposals.
The Company presented us with six proposals, while our union countered presenting them with twenty proposals. Joe Wilson then presented the NOBP pattern for wages and benefits.
There was discussion over the proposals with some getting deferred and others being rejected by both the Union and the Company side.
There will be sub-committee meetings on several HSE proposals which were on the table.
The formal process for negotiations will officially start on January 17. Stay tuned for more details as they come available.
